Water Country (Portsmouth, N.H.)

Must Do Attraction: Dr. Von Dark’s Tunnel of Terror - This amazing water ride features a 40 foot plunge, dark twisting tunnels and some genuine scares.
Often praised as the best water park in New England, Water Country is one of the largest and oldest water-only amusement parks in the area. It’s family friendly atmosphere offers something for everyone both young and old. Unlike other smaller water parks, Water Country offers enough attractions to spend an entire action-packed day at the park. There is so much to explore! We also love that Water Country offers private areas for rent such as cabanas, picnic areas and a party deck overlooking the Whirlpool and Triple Giant Slides. Did someone say relaxation? Yes please.

Must Do Attraction: Mammoth - This bigger than life water slide allows for up to 5 riders per raft for an epic splash filled ride! This is definitely one of the highlights in Splashtown and a must ride for first time attendants!
Funtown Splashtown is divided into two parks: Funtown Amusement Park and Splashtown Water Park. Admission to just the water park is $29.00 with discounted admission for those under 48 inches. What we love about this park is it’s massive size and jam-packed attractions. Combined the two parks have over 50 rides and slides making it one of the largest amusement destinations in Maine!

Whale’s Tale Waterpark is one of New England’s best water parks and for good reason. This large waterpark has everything from adventure filled child friendly sections to multiple extreme waterslides for thrill seekers. Need relaxation? Parents will love Castaway Cove, a relaxing heated pool area just for adults. And little ones will love Whale Harbor, an interactive water playground filled with fountains and mini slides. With all Whale’s Tale has to offer it’s no wonder why this park is a long time New England favorite.

Must Do Attraction: Devil’s Peak - One of Water Wizz’s newest attractions, Devil’s Peak is a free-fall water slide ride that plummets riders down 61 foot drop! There are two water slides to choose from once you get to the top of Devil’s Peak and both are tons of fun!
The Water Wizz amusement park is located in East Wareham, Massachusettes. It’s advertised as “Southern New England’s Largest Water Park” and features lots of diverse water rides and family friendly attractions. Ride variety includes five different high thrill water slides and plenty of family friendly leisure rides that everyone can enjoy. For the little ones, the Captain Kid’s Island is a interactive playground that won’t disappoint. Some other cool features of the park include their “Rent A Cabana” where you can rent a shady Cabana spot for the day and discounted ticket pricing after 4pm.
Splash Away Bay Water Park & Quassy Amusement Park (Middlebury, CT)

Splash Away Bay Water Park may not be the largest water park on our list of best water parks in New England, but we love that it’s connected to the popular Quasst Amusement Park. This means a full day of rides, slides and great times. Admission to the water park is only $19.99, which makes this a great deal for those hot summer cool off days. The water park has a good mix of high thrill water rides and children friendly play areas. Another thing we love about Splash Away Bay Water Park is that it is adjacent to Lake Quassapaug (Quassy Beach) where families can enjoy a relaxing day.
